Caleb Trayer and Andre Smith

Eggs Up Grill, a rapidly growing breakfast, brunch, and lunch concept, is starting construction on a new restaurant that will open this spring at Springfield Town Center in Fort Mill.

The restaurant, known for its great-tasting, freshly prepared meals, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere, is located at 516 Mercantile Place.  This is the first Eggs Up Grill for Franchise Partners Andre Smith, and Kevin and Shelly Trayer, according to a press release.

“Fort Mill is growing by leaps and bounds and we have been watching this area really blossom,” said Andre, co-owner of Eggs Up Grill Fort Mill. “There are so many positives about this location. While it’s growing, it still has that small town feeling that’s a perfect fit for a neighborly restaurant like Eggs Up Grill. That was a really important factor to us when choosing a site. We want to be everyone’s hometown restaurant away from home.”   (Press release continues below)

With seating for nearly 100, plus an outdoor patio for dining, the 2,765 square-foot restaurant is designed to make guests feel at home in a light, bright, and cheery atmosphere. The space is designed to provide a comfortable escape that is welcoming and familiar. Whether at the counter feeling the energy from the kitchen, at a table shared with neighbors and friends, or in a cozy booth, guests can choose seating options to suit the perfect occasion or mood. The walls will feature artwork specifically designed for Eggs Up Grill that pays homage to its namesake, the Egg.

The Fort Mill restaurant will serve guests seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. with dine-in, online ordering, takeout, catering, and delivery options available. A dedicated to-go station will allow for easy pick-up for online orders and third-party delivery.

Eggs Up Grill will also cater events big or small, with a menu featuring breakfast favorites like eggs, grits, home fries, biscuits and gravy, and muffins. Salads, sandwiches, and wraps are available for catered lunch. Delivery will be available.

“We are excited to open in the spring, and to begin serving and supporting the Fort Mill community,” said CEO Ricky Richardson. “Eggs Up Grill is not just a great dining option for breakfast and lunch, but also a hub for local activity. We look forward to partnering with the community and serving our neighbors.” (Press release continues below)

As Fort Mill is a growing town with a strong sense of family, the new Eggs Up Grill will be focused on serving the community. The team specifically hopes to work with local food banks.

Smith, who has ties to the community, has been in the restaurant business for 25 years. He spent most of his time with Fuddruckers and Fatz Cafe. He was a frequent guest of Eggs Up Grill and fell in love with the Brand, which later led him to become a franchisee. Alongside the Trayer’s son Caleb, he will lead operations at the new restaurant.

With locations across the southeast in Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas, Eggs Up Grill is anticipating that 2021 will be a record-breaking year for development with 12-15 new restaurant openings. The success of the franchise partners at each of these locations starts with the best real estate.  That’s why Eggs Up Grill has invested in a nearly two-year partnership with The Retail Strategy (TRS). TRS was instrumental in the lease process for the Fort Mill restaurant, applying an individualized approach to finding the right location using mapping and analytics technology to optimize market positioning. Through the Brand partnership with TRS, franchise partners have access to this support at no cost to the franchise partner.

Eggs Up Grill offers its full menu, open to close, for dine-in, takeout, or delivery.  Menu categories include breakfast sandwiches, benedicts, omelets, pancakes, waffles, French toast, as well as classic breakfast entrees, home-fry bowls, and fan-favorite muffins. There are also lunch choices including burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and salads.

The Fort Mill restaurant will employ 25-35 team members and will begin the hiring process soon. Those interested can apply at eggsupgrill.com. For more information on the Fort Mill location, visit @eugfortmill on Instagram, and facebook.com/eugfortmill
