The manager at the Family Dollar store on Doby’s Bridge Road told police that a store employee disappeared with two deposits totaling more than $2,200.

Manager Sandra Donahue told Fort Mill police that the employee left the store on Jan. 23 with $1,524 and on Jan. 26 with $732. Neither deposit made it to the bank, a report says.

Wells Fargo notified the manager that the deposits weren’t made, and the manager set up a meeting with the worker, but the woman did not show up.

The suspect was identified as Shanna Lanette Beason, 37, of 2269 Felly Lane, Lancaster.

Police have filed warrant requests against the employee for two counts of breach of trust. She is now being sought by police, and her warrants have been entered in the National Crime Information Center.
