Fort Mill police have arrested a woman for trying to hire someone to kill her ex-boyfriend’s roommate.

Jessica Florence Fisher, 32, of Yager Creek Drive, Charlotte, was arrested last Thursday following an investigation by Fort Mill Police Department detectives.

“After receiving information that Fisher was inquiring about paying someone to harm her ex-boyfriend, detectives made contact with a confidential informant that provided specific details of discussions with Fisher,” Maj. Bryan Zachary said. “(Police) then recorded a subsequent conversation where Fisher asked the informant to arrange a meeting with someone willing to commit the criminal act.”

Fisher later went to the Hampton Inn Hotel on Carolina Place Drive to meet with a person that she believed to be an acquaintance of the informant’s brother, who in actuality was an undercover police officer. She paid $100 cash at the time.

Fisher then provided specific information about her ex-boyfriend’s roommate, and indicated that she actually wanted him to be killed, since she believed him to be responsible for the break-up of their relationship, Maj. Zachary said. She said she just wanted him gone, a report says.

Upon leaving that meeting, Fisher was immediately confronted by officers, and taken into custody. Fisher was incarcerated at the York County Detention Center, and later released after securing a $50,000 bond.
