Home2 Suites, 1840 Coltharp St., Fort Mill, SC

Fort Mill has experienced a rash of hotel autobreakings and other thefts. Here are details from recent crime reports from York County Sheriff Office, released Tuesday:

B & E Auto – 1840 Coltharp Rd. Fort Mill, SC (Home 2 Suites By Hilton) – Deputies responded to this hotel in reference to 4- vehicles being broken into sometime between 01/03/21 at 2100 and 01/04/21 at 0700. Entry was made to three of the vehicles by breaking the passenger side window out. Entry was made into the fourth vehicle by an unknown manner. Victims reported miscellaneous luggage and clothing stolen. A Mossberg shotgun and Springfield XD pistol were also taken. Vehicles were processed with negative results. No video surveillance of this incident was available.

Stolen Vehicle – 800 Gold Hill Rd. Fort Mill, SC (Stateline) – Deputies responded to a report of a stolen 2020 Dodge Charger Black in color. Stateline advised a customer who was looking at vehicles on the lot, entered a running vehicle while the sales attendant was not present and left the lot. No ID on the suspect was obtained by the dealership. Car was being tracked by Sirius/XM as of end of shift.

B & E Auto- 120 Crisanto Ave, Fort Mill, SC (Tru Hotel)- Deputies found a vehicle with passenger side window broken and removed. Deputies attempted to contact victim, but were unable to speak with him. Deputies later returned and found the vehicle was gone and the victim never called Law Enforcement. Suspects were two individuals driving dark colored vehicle Mazda or Nissan passenger car. Theft occurred at 4:10 am.

Shoplifting/ Assault- 3670 Highway 51 (Stateline Beverage) B/M suspect stole $500 in liquor and while fleeing the scene, the driver of the getaway vehicle struck the cashier, who was reaching inside the vehicle to grab the keys. No injury to the victim.
