The Six Pence Pub will close this month after serving the Fort Mill community for 12 years, according to a Facebook post.

“Six Pence, Fort Mill, has sold and will be closing February 23, 2019. Please get in there and have one last meal with us,” the Thursday post says.

The restaurant is located on Market Street in Fort Mill. The Facebook announcement says that the locations in Savannah, Ga., and Blowing Rock, N.C., will remain in operation. The name for the replacement has not been announced.

Reaction was quick:

“Loved this place. Great food, prices & atmosphere,” Vinny Congema said. “I’m going to miss that Shepherd’s Pie. Best I ever had.”

Sarah Green said she wants the red telephone box.
