Two people are dead after a shooting Monday afternoon at H&R Block in downtown Fort Mill, police say,

Fort Mill police responded about 1:13 p.m. Monday to 239 Main Street, according to police Maj. Bryan Zachary.

“Upon the officers arrival at the scene, two persons were located, and determined to be deceased,” he said in a press release. “There is absolutely no imminent threat to the public, in connection with this incident.”

No names have been released. A source close to the victim told WSOC-TV that the shooting stemmed from a family situation involving the business. There were several customers inside, the TV station said.

A complete investigation is currently underway, and further details will be provided, as they become available, the major said.
