A Fort Mill man led local police on a six-mile chase Monday night that damaged a homeowner’s white-picket fence, according to a police report.

Clifton Liewald, 33, was behind the wheel of a blue Honda Accord when an officer tried to pull him over on North White Street for having a tag that didn’t match records for the vehicle he was driving. The driver started making evasive maneuvers before pulling over and letting a passenger out. The driver then continued fleeing, a report says. (Story continues below)
