The Fort Mill School Board approved Cori Hustedt on Tuesday night as principal of Pleasant Knoll Middle School.  She has served as Assistant Principal at Pleasant Knoll Middle School since 2017 and will succeed Grey Young, who recently joined the District Office in the role of Executive Director of Student Services.

Hustedt holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Charleston Southern University and a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership from Queens University, according to a school district press release. She has worked in education for nine years, first at York Preparatory Academy in Rock Hill and then as a 6th Grade Science/ELA Teacher at Banks Trail for five years.

Hustedt has completed the State Department’s Foundation of School Leadership Program, as well as serving on the district’s Science Curriculum and SLO Development teams.

“We are delighted to have Ms. Hustedt serve in the role of principal of Pleasant Knoll Middle School,” said Superintendent Chuck Epps in a press release. “Her familiarity with the school, its students, and its parents will allow for a smooth transition in leadership and provide consistency during an otherwise challenging time.”
