After a year-long investigation, Fort Mill police have arrested a local man for threatening to post sexual photos of a 16-year-old girl unless she sent him new ones, according to a police report.

Sean Keith Brady, 23, of Fort Mill, was arrested on Wednesday for sexual exploitation of a minor, blackmail or extortion, disseminate obscenity, and two counts of harassment, according to jail records.

The victim approached a resource officer at her high school in April 2019. She said she had received a message from an unknown person asking her for pictures of her.

“(She) refused and subject stated that if she didn’t do what he asked, he would post other pictures which he had of her onto the Internet,” a FMPD report says.

A few days later, police learned that the girl had received messages from multiple numbers about the pictures, the report says.

The Fort Mill Police Department has withheld arrest warrants that provide more details on the alleged crimes.

According to media reports, Brady was arrested April 30 on drug trafficking and weapons charges after officers seized more than 50 grams of cocaine and several weapons near Interstate 77.

Sheriff’s officials had been investigating after getting several complaints about drug activity in the Bailiwick neighborhood near I-77, off Pleasant Road, which is west of the town of Fort Mill.

Bond is set at $30,000 on all charges, Maj. Zachary said.
