A Fort Mill man was found sleeping inside a dumpster outside Toppers Pizza around lunchtime Friday, requiring the response of police, fire and medical officials.

The 41-year-old man had to be removed by two officers since he was unresponsive and appeared to be extremely intoxicated, a police report says. The suspect was frisked for weapons and then an officer performed a sternum rub, which caused the man to respond verbally and physically.

After fire and EMS responded, the man was taken to Piedmont Medical Center by ambulance for further observation, the report says.
