Tears flowed Monday as the Town of Fort Mill held a powerful Veterans Day program to honor the service and sacrifice of military veterans.

   About 150 people attended the program at Veterans Park and included a speech by Commander Keith Feeley of the American Legion Post 43. “It is a privilege to be a veteran,” he said.

The 10:30 a.m. event also featured patriotic music, Posting of the Colors, rifle volley and taps. Mallory Tipton, a fifth grader at Tega Cay Elementary, sang the National Anthem, while Choir Director Jill Fuller sang “America the Beautiful.” (Video below.)
